2019-2020 FY Board of Regents Support Fund

BoRSF proposal season is upon us, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is here to help!

This page is provided to aid in proposal development and support, and we hope you find it useful. We are always happy to assist; however, please note that ORSP resources are temporarily limited.  Therefore, to make best use of ORSP services and to avoid spending time gathering basic knowledge or recapping published information, investigators are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with relevant BoRSF RFPs and the materials published here. Of course, if, after reviewing this information, you still have questions, please do not hesitate to contact your assigned ORSP Staff member or the ORSP office at 482-5811.

BoRSF Eligible Disciplines

Some BoRSF programs have rotating disciplines that are eligible to submit per funding cycle. These disciplines can be found within each RFP.  Additionally, eligible disciplines can be found within the program specific Fact Sheets below.

NOTE: Due to BoRSF certification requirements, proposal submissions that fall outside of the listed FY 2019-2020 eligible disciples list will not be submitted to BoR by ORSP.

Successful, Sample BoRSF Proposals

Copies of successful BoRSF proposals have been collected by ORSP and can be found via our Sample Proposal Library available in Moodle.  Faculty may self-enroll in this Moodle page to gain access.

Instructions on accessing this Moodle site are available here.  If you are still having trouble, please contact the University's IT Help Desk at extension 2-4357 or via email at ithelp@louisiana.edu.

Should you wish to view a successful proposal that is not included in this collection, please contact BoRSF directly by following the instructions found here.

Submission of Notices of Intent (NOIs) - REQUIRED!

With the exception of the ATLAS program, all NOI due dates have now passed.  ATLAS NOIs are submitted via LOGAN.  Please see section above for information and links.

ORSP Proposal Preparation & Guidance

In conjunction with the FY 2019-2020 BoRSF competition, ORSP provides the following documents to jump-start your proposal preparation efforts.

Narrative, Budget & BoRSF Form Templates

Please feel free to use the narrative templates (Word) below as a guide for responding to BoRSF RFPs.  However, as these templates only address the narrative portion of the overall submission, they should not be used as a substitution for reading and responding to the RFP in full.

Also provided below are budget calculation templates (EXCEL) and budget justification templates (Word). Please use these templates for your FY 2019-2020 submissions, as the appropriate fringe and tuition rates, etc. have been included in these templates.  Please do not use the federal funding templates found elsewhere on the ORSP website for BoRSF submissions.
