About Us

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), commonly referred to as the Pre-Award office, is a professional service office that reports to the Vice President for Research. Activities of ORSP are designed to help faculty and to facilitate the overall grant process, while balancing the need for institutional and sponsor regulatory compliance. ORSP assists university investigators in identifying funding opportunities, conceptualizing and preparing grant proposals, securing institutional approval for proposals, and submitting proposals for funding. ORSP also manages several programs to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
