Research Compliance

Research is an integral part of the learning process at the university. All areas of research must adhere to a code of ethics that fosters public confidence. Some areas of research and teaching must abide by federal and state regulations enacted to protect the public and natural resources. To promote an environment of excellence, integrity and compliance in research, the university has established policies and review committees to assist the researcher in complying with the regulations and maintaining high ethical standards within the research community.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will assist everyone involved in research at the university by evaluating policies for compliance with federal and state regulations and providing educational opportunities for faculty, staff and students to maintain an awareness of how to best meet the regulatory challenges in research. The Office also provides access to training in Responsible Conduct of Research for all university faculty, staff and students.

Information about various areas of research compliance and related committees (including contact information for the committee chairperson and links to committee policies, procedures and forms) can be found by following the links below.
