Statement of Purpose

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a member of the University of Louisiana System, is a public, Doctoral/Research-Intensive University of higher education offering associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Its academic programs are administered by the Colleges of Applied Life Sciences, the Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, General Studies, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Sciences, and the Graduate School. The University is dedicated to achieving excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, in research, and in public service.
