Vice President for Research, Innovation & Economic Development
Under the leadership and direction of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, this office is responsible for overseeing University functions related to sponsored research, and other associated activities.
Office of Research & Sponsored Programs
The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs helps faculty and facilitates the overall grant process, while balancing the need for institutional and sponsor regulatory compliance. ORSP assists University investigators in identifying funding opportunities, conceptualizing and preparing grant proposals, securing institutional approval for proposals, and submitting proposals for funding.
Office of Innovation Management
The Office of Innovation Management (OIM) is UL Lafayette’s academic technology transfer unit. It is responsible for stimulating and triaging incoming ideas; conducting commercial and intellectual property surveys; and employing strategic intellectual property management mechanisms.
Office of Research Integrity
The Office of Research Integrity is responsible for maintaining the integrity of UL Lafayette's research programs and oversees the responsible conduct of research.
Research Centers & Programs
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is constantly expanding its research portfolio, which includes establishing new research centers, institutes, and programs.
Other Related Offices
The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration and Compliance provides post award management and financial oversight while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and adherence to state and university policies for all sponsored activities. SPFAC works closely with University researchers, and reports to the Vice President of Administration and Finance.
