Office of Research & Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs helps faculty and facilitates the overall grant process, while balancing the need for institutional and sponsor regulatory compliance. ORSP assists University investigators in identifying funding opportunities, conceptualizing and preparing grant proposals, securing institutional approval for proposals, and submitting proposals for funding.

Office of Innovation Management

The Office of Innovation Management (OIM) is UL Lafayette’s academic technology transfer unit. It is responsible for stimulating and triaging incoming ideas; conducting commercial and intellectual property surveys; and employing strategic intellectual property management mechanisms.

Other Related Offices

The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration and Compliance provides post award management and financial oversight while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and adherence to state and university policies for all sponsored activities.  SPFAC works closely with University researchers, and reports to the Vice President of Administration and Finance.
