It is important to remember that the budget for a sponsored project must be in accordance with the applicable policies, rules and regulations of both the sponsor and UL Lafayette. UL Lafayette adheres to the federal cost principles as defined in the federal Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards issued by the Office of Management and Budget (Uniform Guidance). This guidance defines the rules applied to educational institutions when doing business with the federal government and forms the basis for the UL Lafayette’s costing practices.
